As a Catholic Community, located in Grosse Pointe Park and Detroit, we strive to encourage an environment where we can live as Christ did, worship together, serve and grow as a community of faith. We are rather modest size Community of 850 families, growing and welcoming new members. A community that is in love with the Lord, wants to grow in faith, and is ready to minister to others.
Through the leadership of our Pastoral Team and our Parish Pastoral Council, our community is moving forward in making our parish vision a reality.
There are three statements that mark our parish: Be Bold. Be Holy. Be Catholic which speak to our collective goals as individuals and as a community.
Within them there are:
This pastoral vision provides a glimpse of who we are at present and gives us direction for our future. All members of our parish are called to participate in the various events and activities that promote growth. Our vision gives everyone an opportunity to become active as together we build our parish to be a vibrant, healthy, blessed and on the mission community of joyful missionary disciples of Jesus.
We hope that you will find our parish community a welcoming place for you, your family and loved ones.
We have four Masses on the weekend, with various style of music. We have Mass every day of the week followed by different devotions with various prayer groups involved. Our weekend attendance and at daily masses is growing and the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation is a real source of healing for many. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament becomes more and more welcomed place for meeting Jesus.
There are many ways for formation and education in our parish for young and seniors: from Alpha, and Formed to Religious Education and RCIA, from sacramental preparation to summer camps.
Different groups are involved in service ministries with different projects that are annual and seasonal embracing our local and larger community. We assist many individuals and families with SVDP, K of C, Choose Life outreach ministry and Christian Service projects. Our Mercy ministry serves the sick and bereaved.
We are blessed to have a primary school and nursery on our campus that provide a great opportunity for safe education, holistic development and formation of our young people.
As Christian stewards, we receive God’s gifts gratefully, develop them responsibly, share them lovingly with others, and return them with increase to the Lord.
