The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC), is a unique Ministry to help with distribution of Holy Communion during Mass. The Mission of this Ministry is to be available to serve all St. Clare parishioners whenever needed. This includes, but not limited to Mass, hospital, nursing facility and home visits. Any parishioner of St. Clare of Montefalco who has been Baptized, made their Communion, Confirmation, and is in good standing with the Church, can be part of this ministry. We meet once or twice a year for training, workshop or update or to renew our commissioning. Also individual training is possible at a mutually-agreed upon time. A schedule is provided to those EMHC’s willing to serve on a regular basis. Depending on which Mass they have chosen to serve at, the frequency will be different.

Those that cannot commit to a specific Mass on a regular basis are welcome to be put on the “sub” list. Whether an EMHC is on the regular schedule or on the “sub” list, any EMHC can serve at any Mass they are attending if needed.
