Nursing Homes
The door is wide open for
many services in the nursing home. Do not wait for the homes to
call for help, have your group volunteer to read to the
residents, sing songs, play instruments, perform skits or magic
tricks, play cards or whatever idea your group may have to make
life easier for the elderly.

Sending birthday cards on a
monthly basis to one or more homes

Visit and share some time
with a group of the residents
-
Make a simple craft with
the residence
-
Prepare personal item kits
for the residence ex. shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, a pencil
and puzzle book (word search, crossword, Sudoku…) the residents
receive $40 a month from which they need to purchase all their
personal items.
