I Don't Want to Go to Church: Practical Ways to Deal
With Kids And Religion (Whether You're Religious or
Not!)
Is it really worth the effort to make children go to
church?
Scott Cooper will convince those who ask
this question that, yes, participating in worship is
beneficial for children and worth the effort.
Cooper contends that even if parents are not
religious, they will se the benefits of being
connected to a faith community. Religious belief
is crucial for children to mature emotionally and
intellectually because it connects them to the grand
scheme of things. Cooper offers practical advice
including: how to deal with the child who won't sit
still; the adolescent who resists; when parents are
from different faith traditions, and the relationship
of science and faith. |
