Services
Catholic Relief
Services has joined with Michigan-based Higher Grounds
to invite us to make a worthy resolution for 2007: serve
coffee that serves others!
The CRS Fair Trade
Coffee Program works to connect socially conscious
consumers like you with disadvantaged coffee farmers in
partnership with mission-driven companies like Higher
Ground that are deeply committed to the welfare of
small-scale farmers.
If you would like to
participate in this program go to
www.crsfairtrade.org click the coffee button. Click

The
St. Clare Book Club
We
continue the St. Clare Book Club with another book,
which will lead us to an evening of discussion and
dialogue. St. Clare Book Club has been formed for those
that are looking for an open discuss on Justice Issues.
All who attended agreed that the club gives them much
food for thought.
Join us for an evening of discussion, friendship and
refreshments. Please call or email to reserve your
place in the St. Clare Book Club.

The Christian Service
Commission meets the first Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
in the Whittier Room.
The Christian Service Commission exists as a model
and resource of Catholic Social Teaching to enable the entire parish
communion to put the social teaching of the Church into action.
The Commission empowers the members of the parish to fulfill the Church's
mission of love, justice, freedom and peace by communally responding, in an
organized way, to societal and individual needs.
The Commission creates and/or promotes programs which strive to address
human needs and achieve justice whether locally or in the broader
communities of Vicariate, Archdiocese, State, Nation and World.
