FUNDRAISING DESCRIPTIONS

FUNDRAISING THROUGH MICROSOFT AND SCHOLASTIC

St. Clare will be participating in this new fundraising program presented by Microsoft and Scholastic. Through this program, each time you search the web or play games, you earn money for our school. It's FREE and easy- here's how to sign up

Visit www.searchandgive.com and click on "Sign In." Sign up for a WINDOWS LIVE ID and search for St. Clare of Montefalco on the MY CHARITY SETTINGS page.

Use www.searchandgive.com to search the web! Each time you use www.searchandgive.com to search the internet, Microsoft will donate one ticket to our school's account. Near the end of the year, these tickets will be converted to cash, and Microsoft will send a check directly to St. Clare. If you like it, please tell your friends!

SCM GIFT CARDS & CERTIFICATES (SCRIP)

Scrip is a term that means, “substitute money”. You purchase negotiable gift certificates that are used just like cash. The scrip is issued by national and local retailers where many of you already shop. Purchase gift certificates to be used at local stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. To see a more extensive list of vendors or order online see www.shopwithscrip.com. The St. Clare School enrollment code is 552AF2E42286 (note: you still have to pay Mrs. Bellia at school).
Forms with the most common vendors are sent home biweekly (more frequently during the holidays). Return your PRE-paid form to the office by 9:00 AM on Monday and your certificates will be delivered on Friday. St. Clare receives a percentage of the cost of the certificates as a rebate from the vendor. The amount varies for each vendor and is indicated on the form. St Clare passes on part of the revenue towards your fundraising fee. Some vendor certificates are available for immediate purchase from Mickey Bellia in the school front office. Available all school year.

 MARKET DAY

Purchase restaurant quality foods and healthy snacks through the market day program that is offered monthly. You send your order form to the office or order over the internet at www.marketday.com. Pick up your food on the date listed on the back of the form between 3:00pm and 4:00pm in the church social hall. St. Clare receives a profit from this fundraiser which is then credited to your fundraising account. Available all year.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much of the schools operating budget depends on the money we raise through the fundraisers?

$40,000 of the schools operating budget is raised through our fundraisers. Successful fundraising enables us to keep our tuition increases modest and ultimately more affordable for each school family.

Which fundraisers count towards my family’s $225 fundraising requirement?

All of the above fundraisers can be used towards your fundraising goal.

What if I earn more than $225?

Once you have reached your goal of $225, any additional money is split 50/50 with the school. Your 50% will go towards next year’s tuition.

How long do we have to raise our $225?

You have until February 28th to raise your $225. You will receive a monthly statement to keep you informed on how much you have raised. In March if the fundraising is not paid your child/children will not receive their report cards and you may not register for next year. If your child is in 8th grade they will be excluded from their class trip and picnic, and will not receive their report card and diploma.
